Our Company
A place built for people who prefer to think before they decide.
Sabai Finance was founded in Bangkok to offer something that is often missing from financial services: time, space, and plain language — without a product attached.

How Sabai Finance came to be
Sabai Finance grew from a simple observation: many adults approaching retirement in Bangkok had spent their working lives making financial decisions without ever having had the time or the right setting to understand what they were actually deciding. The information existed — in prospectuses, in policy documents, in advisor reports — but the language was opaque and the context was often missing.
In 2018, two educators with backgrounds in personal finance and adult learning established a small reading circle in Khlong Toei. The format was deliberate: six chairs, a table, a whiteboard, and a commitment to letting the session follow the questions in the room rather than a fixed script. Participants — most of them in their fifties — responded warmly. The circle became a waiting list. The waiting list became a programme.
Today Sabai Finance runs three structured programmes, each designed around the questions adults in their forties, fifties, and sixties are most likely to have: how to prepare for retirement in Thailand, how to understand the investment instruments available to them, and how to put estate arrangements in order before they become urgent. We do not sell financial products, hold assets, or provide regulated advisory services. What we provide is financial literacy — careful, unhurried, and adapted to the Bangkok context.
Mission
To give adults in the second half of their working life a calmer, clearer way into financial understanding — so they can make their own decisions with more confidence and less anxiety.
Values
- Patience. We believe understanding takes time, and we build that time into everything we do.
- Honesty. We do not overstate what a programme can do. We are clear about what financial education is and is not.
- Respect. Participants bring decades of experience. Sessions are structured accordingly — not as lectures, but as conversations between informed adults.
- Specificity. Generic financial advice is easy to find. We focus on the Thai context — the instruments, the regulations, and the practical realities of living here.

Our Standards
What we hold ourselves to
These are not certifications collected for display — they are operational commitments that shape how programmes are designed and delivered.
Regulatory clarity
Every programme is reviewed to ensure it remains within the scope of financial education rather than regulated advisory services. Participants are always directed toward licensed professionals for product decisions.
Participant privacy
Financial situations shared during sessions remain within the group. No case details are used in marketing materials without explicit written permission from the participant.
Curriculum accuracy
Curriculum materials covering Thai financial instruments, tax-advantaged funds, and Social Security entitlements are reviewed against current regulations at the start of each programme cycle.
Adult learning principles
Programmes are structured around established adult learning principles: prior knowledge is respected, sessions are discussion-led, and participants set the pace of depth for each topic.
Post-session feedback
Every session closes with a short written feedback form. Facilitators review responses before the following session and adjust emphasis or pace where a majority of participants indicate it would help.
No product sales
Sabai Finance does not sell financial products, receive referral fees, or have commercial relationships with fund providers or brokers. Our income comes exclusively from programme fees paid by participants.
About Our Approach
Financial education for a different stage of life
Adults in their forties and fifties in Bangkok face a particular set of financial decisions — some related to retirement planning under Thailand's Provident Fund and Social Security framework, others related to the investment instruments available through licensed Thai brokers, and others still related to estate arrangements that span different legal jurisdictions when a household has mixed nationalities.
Much of the information needed to navigate these areas is publicly available but rarely explained in terms that connect to a specific person's life. Sabai Finance exists to make that connection — not by giving answers, but by building the framework through which participants can ask the right questions of the right professionals.
Our programmes draw on case studies drawn from households in Bangkok's international and Thai communities. The Retirement Roadmap Conversations focus on the period from the mid-forties through the mid-seventies — mapping the expected shape of income, outgoings, and family obligations over that arc. The Investment Foundations programme spends four weeks unpacking the language of Thai and regional investment instruments so that participants can read a fund prospectus or an advisor's recommendation with a more critical eye. The Estate and Legacy Planning Workshop addresses the documents — wills, nominations, insurance designations — that many families defer until a crisis makes them urgent.
All three programmes are offered at our Sukhumvit Road location in small groups of no more than six. Sessions are conducted in English, with bilingual glossaries for Thai-specific terminology. Materials are provided in writing so that participants can revisit them at home, share them with family members, or use them as a starting point in conversations with their own legal or financial professionals.
